in diplomatic service since 1972:
1974-1979 and 1981-1987 - diplomatic posts in the USSR Embassy in the United States.
1993-1998 - Russian Consul General in Montreal, Canada.
From October 1998 and on - Deputy Director of the North American Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
