Born in 1945.

1974 - graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
1981 - Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
1994 - Special education courses for leading staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Russia.

Since 1974 holds diplomatic posts in different USSR Embassies abroad.

Has a rank of Minister- Counsellor.

The President and the Founder of the National Foundation for Strategic Studies - an independent non-profit organization aimed to strengthening democracy in Russia.

Married. Has a son.
